I was born in Thurso, Scotland and came to Canada in 1967. I am the mother of three children and grandmother of two boys.
I attended the Canadian College of Osteopathy and graduated from their seven year program in 2009. Before this I attended the Canadian College of Massage Therapy and graduated in 1996. I have also taken various courses in Lymphatic Drainage, Structural Integration, Kinesiology, Applied Kinesiology, Somatic Emotional Release, Cranial Structural Integration with TMD and Chronic Pain.
I had my own clinic for a number of years in Midland and Kincardine, Ontario. During this time period we worked entirely on patients with pain, injuries and congestion. For the last 15 years I have worked with dentists treating TMD. In graduating from the Osteopathy Program I wrote and presented a thesis regarding TMD for which I received the "Sutherland Award". This gave me a great opportunity to work and study with Dentists and Orthodontists who are very focused on treating TMD.
I am a member of the:
Ontario Massage Therapists Association
Ontario Association of Osteopaths
American Academy of Cranial Facial Pain

I enjoy research and plan to continue to work in the field as well as teaching seminars on TMD to other health care professionals. My other interests are family, traveling, running, skiing and entertaining. I play the bagpipes and had the opportunity to represent Canada in two Triathlon World Championships. I believe in healthy living and try to help my patients obtain the maximum health possible.
